NAS Freeze Formed™ Skin & Coat Health Bites

Our Health Bites are made using whole-prey ingredients and a freeze-formed manufacturing process. Because they are not extruded into perfectly uniform shapes, some natural variation in size and appearance is expected. This does not affect product quality, safety or efficacy.

We do not use any gums, starches or artificial binders therefore some crumb is normal due to the natural texture of the product and handling during transport. The crumb contains the same ingredients as the larger pieces and can be sprinkled over food.

Natural variation in raw materials can result in slight colour differences between batches and pieces. This is expected and does not affect quality.

Skin Health Bites contain spirulina, a natural ingredient that contributes to the green colour. Colour variation may occur between batches due to the natural nature of the ingredients.

Health Bites are made from real freeze-formed whole-food ingredients, including finely ground non-weight-bearing bones that naturally contribute minerals such as calcium and phosphorus. As part of our manufacturing process, all ingredients are ground through a 3 mm plate prior to production. This means small bone fragments may occasionally be visible within the finished product. Because the Skin & Coat Health Bites are naturally green from spirulina, these fragments can sometimes appear more noticeable than in other varieties. Small visible bone particles are an expected characteristic of a minimally processed whole-food product. If you ever find a fragment that appears unusually large or inconsistent with the product, please contact our customer care team and retain the product for review.
