When nature needs a little help, our vitamin C is the answer

From time to time our pets need a little support when their diet is inadequate or their needs alter due to age or seasonal changes. Vitamin C in particular supports skin tissue, maintains healthy gums, supports synthesis of many B vitamins and is an excellent detoxification to help remove free radicals from the body.

Dogs and cats under normal circumstances will synthesise their own Vitamin C from the food they eat, but may on occasion need additional support in their diet. Guinea Pigs and some other smaller animals do not synthesise their own Vitamin C, so benefit greatly from a healthy, natural food supplement.

High Potency Vitamin C is a natural food supplement, a water soluble vitamin and is easy to use in a powder form. Sprinkled daily on your pets food for times when they need a quality supplement to support their overall health and wellbeing.

My 7 years old Westie has been suffering from diabetes since 2012. He has lost his weight significantly. I started giving him supplements of Natural Animal Solutions in May 2014 and it seems to me that this is a good brand, and the Vit C helps boost his weight up a bit. I will keep on using this product.

Started using Natural Animal Solutions after chatting with them at a Dog Show in Melbourne 7 months ago. Have 3 boxers, one who is nearly 11yrs old with chronic eosinophilic gastroenteritis since small pup. Has been on Imuran and steroids all his life. Took him off all drugs, and for the first time in his life on Vit C, Digestavite and Omega Oil with his food, he has got regular stools, his zest for life has returned and he plays again. Quite remarkable. Have the other two on it as well and health is good with very shiny coats. Thanks for great products! Chris

While my dog hates this (so have to mix it with yoghurt after it’s been dissolved in a little water) it is a GREAT product. My white show dog was on anti histamines daily for very swollen and red eye-rims. Since taking this daily (am about to order my second container) she’s had NO anti histamines!

    Hi Jacqueline
I was corresponding with you about 6 weeks ago over various issues my dogs have, and you recommended some products which I want to give feedback on.
I just wanted to give you feedback on the High Potency Vit C which my Clumber has been on for about a month now. She had terrible swollen eye-rims from something she is allergic too. In the past month she has been inside most days (she used to be outside) so that is helping the situation to, but she has been on the High Potency Vit C daily (though she hates it and I have to mix it with her pro biotic yoghurt) and in that time she has had much better eyes, and has not needed any anti-histamines, as you had hoped would be the case. We do have your Eye Clear drops which I do not use daily as she is a white show dog and it stains around the eyes, but I am using it when needed – ie when the eyes look a bit swollen, though they are never as badly swollen and red as they were previously – so that’s about twice a week, and they are great too.
So – yes – thanks for your advice, and l will carry on with the products!

    Hi Jacqueline,
I wanted to say thank you so much for spending some of your valuable time with me to discuss Zeus Boxer– my 6 year old male Boxer. You may (or may not) remember the conversation we had – if not, here’s a brief rundown – if you do remember, skip to the next paragraph. Zeus has allergies for which the Vet had him on antihistamines & steroids for the entire 2012 spring/summer season. He also developed a snotty runny nose which eventuated into a foul smell (somewhat like rotting flesh). He was sneezing violently and occasionally producing blood from his left nostril, along with mucous which was obviously infected. The Vet gave him five different courses of antibiotics to treat this condition, put him under general anaesthetic to examine up his nose, took numerous x-rays – all to no avail and at great expense. Even after the fifth course of antibiotics he was still not well, and about 3 weeks post the last course, his snotty nose and smell returned. When I spoke with you at the Mind Body Spirit Festival, it had been approx 4 to 5 weeks after his last course. I purchased from you some High Potency Vitamin C powder and some Metagenics Five Mushroom Oral Liquid. You recommended I changed Zeus’ diet and that I stop feeding him everything I had been feeding him. You gave me a “Raw Diet – Maintenance” sheet and deleted the Beef & Lamb option.
Since speaking with you I have eliminated all chicken, commercial Dog food (I was using Optimum Supercoat), commercial dog biscuits, bread & vegemite. I have introduced 2 tablespoons of mixed vegetables (made into baby food) and he has been having kangaroo mince or turkey mince, and for breakfast I have been making him oats (porridge prepared with just water) which I give him with ½ a mashed banana or 2 tablespoons of stewed apple. It was a challenge to get him to have the vitamin c powder. He doesn’t like it at all. I found that if I mix it into a walnut size ball of mince he will eat it so that’s what I do. After a week he no longer has that horrible rotting flesh smell and his nasal discharge is much less and not as yellow, although not yet clear or gone altogether. Thank you for that, it’s wonderful to know that what I am doing is helping him heal. I guess it will take a while as he has 5 courses of antibiotics, a whole lot of antihistamine & steroids plus a general anaesthetic to get rid of!
Thank you so much for helping me get Zeus well. He’s such a sweet dog and I really want to do the best for him – and Zeus thanks you too. Bianca
