Why is Natural Animal Solutions Omega Oil different?

Many of our competitors sell flax oil for pets. Unfortunately, to get a therapeutic dose of Omega 3 you would require enormous doses, even more than is recommended on their bottles. Both dogs and cats find it difficult to absorb Omega 3 from Flax. So we blend our flax with cod liver oil to bring the therapeutic dose down and increase absorption of Omega 3. Cod liver is many times more absorptive than flax. We also add olive and sunflower oil to give animals their dose of Omega 6 and 9. Unlike most oil blends, olive and sunflower oil isn't the base of our formulation, it only accounts for 25%.
Most of our competitors will use sunflower or canola oil as a base to keep costs down as Flax and Cod liver oils are costly. Products high in Omega 6 are proinflammatory and will worsen skin and joint diseases. Many pet foods and supplements contain primarily Omega 6 and 9 fatty acids from vegetable oils resulting in a highly unbalanced ration of Omega 6's to Omega 3's. Natural Animal Solutions has the correct ration of 3 to 6 oils. High in Omega 3!

A friend gave me a bottle of the Omega 3, 6 and 9 which I have been giving to my dogs (one had an unexplained itch) and it has worked wonders!
