Maintenance Dog Diet

  • Maintenance - Raw Diet

    Notes:

  • If your dog begins to put on weight reduce the meat quantity. If your dog begins to loose weight increase the meat quantity.

    Raw Meat
    Kangaroo meat 
    Chicken: Wings, carcass, necks etc
    Rabbit
    Turkey
    Beef
    Lamb
    Pork (must be frozen for 2 weeks before consumption)

    Quantity
    Pups 10% vegetable mix, 90% meat
    Adults 20 - 30% vegetable mix, 70 - 80% meat

    Organ Meat  - medium sized dog
    Organ meat to be fed once a week
    Lambs Fry (Liver) 1/4 per week
    Lambs Kidney 1 per week
    Lambs Heart 1/2 per week
    *All organ meat must be frozen for a minimum of 2 weeks to insure any parasites are killed.

    No organ meat required if on DigestaVite Plus

    Vegetables (Blended)
    Beans, silver beet, snow peas, broccoli, pumpkin, zucchini, cauliflower, cucumber, eggplant, bean sprouts, carrot, celery, sweet potato.
    *All green vegetables 
    *No tomato/onion/leeks/white potatoes

    Banana, apple, pear, seasonal fruits.
    *No citrus

  • Most cats will not eat fruit and vegetables so it is important to supplement with a multivitamin. Meat is NOT a complete diet and can cause cats intestinal blockages.

    Small amounts of beef, lamb or pork (pork must be frozen for 2 weeks before consumption)

    5% vegetable mix, 95% meat

Acidifying Diet Urinary Crystals

  • Acidifying Diet- Raw Diet

    Notes:

  • Cats on a raw diet do not get urinary crystals. A raw meat diet will maintain their correct urine pH of 6 - 6.5.

  • Dogs require acidifying meat, vegetable, fruits and legumes to reduce their urine to ideally pH 6.2 - 6.5.

  • Unlike humans that require alkalinaty in the body, cats and dogs require slight acidity to remain healthy.
