Diabetes – Raw Diet

    NOTES:

  • It is important to discuss your diabetic diet with your animal naturopath first as guidance is recommended.
    Raw Meat
    Kangaroo meat, low in fat but high in protein. If the kidneys are affected this may be contraindicated.
    Chicken: skin off
    Rabbit
    Turkey
    Quantity
    Adults 25 – 30% meat, 70 – 75% vege mix
    Vegetables (Blended)
    Beans, carrots, silver beet, snow peas, cauliflower,celery, broccoli, cucumber, peas, pumpkin, eggplant, parsley, zucchini, bean sprouts, capsicum, spinach.
    *No tomato/onion/leeks/white potatoes
    Fruit (Blended)
    Blueberry, apples*Not too much fruit as it contains sugar  90% Veges – Max 10% fruit
    Multivitamin
    DigestaVite Plus
    Omega Oil Blend
    Small Dog:    3ml per day
    Medium Dog: 8ml per day
    Large Dog:15ml per day
    Other
    Steamed and rolled oats (1 teaspoon per day)
    Macerated Bran (1 teaspoon per day)
    Wheat Germ (1/2 teaspoon daily)
    Garlic (1/4 -1/2 clove per day)
    Egg
    Herbs (optional)
    Garlic
    Ginger in colder months
    Mint
    Grains  (Mix in with vege’s)
    Whole rolled oats  ½ teaspoon per day
    Whole macerated bran  ½ teaspoon per day
